Your photo session is almost here and I can’t wait to capture your memories! My shoots are casual, fun, and you can be exactly who you really are! That is actually my biggest request; relax and enjoy yourself. My goal is to capture honest and loving photos of you. I am not after a perfectly posed, stiff, awkward photo of you looking at the camera. Even though I try to get you a “money shot” I am focused on telling your story and capturing the true essence of the moment.
I do not use props during my photo sessions except for a light-colored blanket. You don't have to bring anything special with you to the shoot. If you think of any expectations don't be afraid to mention them to me during or before our session. I am always open for suggestions!
Here are a few tips that will help you prepare for your upcoming portrait session.
Make this photoshoot the big event of the day! Organize your day around the photoshoot to build up excitement about your portrait session.
2. Before sure to iron your clothes before the session, you’ll thank me later!
3. Most outdoor locations will not have a restroom near by so please use the bathroom before you leave the house.
4. Pleases arrive on time or be ready to start on time: Your session is scheduled according to light. It is important that we start on time. Please plan for traffic or parking constraints. It’s best to arrive at least 10 minutes early.
5. Once you arrive to the session be sure you remove all items from your pockets, hairs ties from your wrists, and leave sunglasses and ball caps in the car.
I have also provided a Portrait Session Checklist to help you stay organized and on top of things!
